My first visit was on 9/20/22, and I will be returning as often as I can afford to. The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! The sushi is some of the best, if not THE best sushi I have ever had (and I have had a lot of sushi from a lot of places). I had the Amazing Tuna roll and it was definitely amazing. I also had the Spicy Miso Ramen, and it was delicious. The portions are huge and the price is decent. The restaurant is clean and classy. I haven't sat at the sushi bar yet, but will try it out at some point. The staff are really nice, too. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am so happy to have such a terrific restaurant/Japanese cuisine here in this little hick town of Shelbyville.
I’m newer to sushi, I only like cooked rolls. Got the lunch special of 3 rolls - Shrimp tempura, California, chicken tempura (least favorite of the 3, I’d get something different next time.) Staff was friendly but gave 4 stars on that because no one came back after our food was delivered to see if we needed anything. Good food definitely will be back to try more! Place looks newly remodeled and very clean! Tried my friends roll which was good too, something custom. Menu is large and has good descriptions.
Sushi was amazing, the appetizers were not lackluster, especially, the peas and crab rangoons. It was a little busy but worth the wait, service was on point, the waitress didn’t fail to serve us . In total it was 170$ to pay for 5 people, which is cheap compared to other places where we have ordered less items. This is probably the only restaurant worth going to in Shelbyville.
OMG this place was awesome!! the atmosphere and decorations are sooo pretty and nice I absolutely loved it. as soon as I was seated I noticed how clean and orderly all of the tables were and I was very impressed. truly the cleanest restaurant I have ever seen! and everything I ordered was absolutely AMAZING ! the food did not take long to come out either. i also really loved the fish pond! 10/5 for me!!!
Great food, great prices, great service. Eat here!!
The service was fast and friendly. The quality of sushi was good. I'd definitely come back. Nice quiet atmosphere.
This was our second visit to Hana and we enjoyed it as much as our first! We ordered take-out since we had our pup with us. The better half ordered the chicken hibachi with extra chicken and I ordered a shrimp tempura roll, a sweetheart roll and a mermaid roll. Better half said his hibachi was very good, it has hints of sweet which many other hibachis do not and the extra chicken made for basically two meals. He didn't really care for their ginger dressing on his salad, but he said that wasn't a deal breaker. My sushi rolls were delicious, my favorite roll this time was the sweetheart roll, but they were all very good and I wouldn't hesitate to order them again. The fish tasted fresh, the rice was cooked perfectly and the sushi had just the right amount of sauce (too much sauce is not a good thing imo). There was extra yum yum sauce, copious napkins, soy sauce and utensils in the bag for our take out. Although I didn't go in this time, the restaurant was clean our previous visit and our server was polite and professional. If you haven't been and you enjoy sushi or hibachi, I highly recommend trying Hana!
